THE GALLERY
Founded in 1989, La Bottega is unique in its identity and personality, more than just a gallery, it represents a real reference point for contemporary Tuscan art. We have a collection of paintings and sculptures by over 70 different artists, with over 800 catalogued works.
Our Bottega has a creative approach similar to that of the ancient renaissance workshops: a place where artists develop a continuous dialogue and an exchange of knowledge through their art work and different creative sensitivity.
The ensemble of artists is like an orchestra whose symphony is conducted by Mario Cappelletti, with the thought and intent to always find new ways of exposure and expression, thanks to the many initiatives and collaborations in which the gallery is involved in order to promote its members.
From 2013 La Bottega presents “Tuscan Art on Tour”, a new way to transport the art and the atmosphere of the gallery abroad, travelling with a wide selection of works in different European locations and in the USA, where we have promoted several initiatives and collaborations, mainly in the City of Chicago, IL.
THE ARTISTS
The gallery offers its exhibition spaces to both renown and emerging artists that represent the artistic identity of different areas in Tuscany.This results in a wide variety of styles and even ways to understand the role of the artist and art itself. If the selection of pieces goes from the representation of the local landscape until abstract art, the common ground of them could be defined as a certain warm atmosphere that permeates every painting as well as the “handmade touch”: making art as a path to find a personal language and not only as a result of a concept.
Because of its location in the heart of Chianti area, la Bottega can be considered as an important platform for its artists which gain international exposure, exposition experience together with a variety of other styles and techniques.
Each artist offers works with a unique style, technique and choice of materials, of different dimensions and prices.
OUR CUSTOMERS
La Bottega counts more than 2.500 customers worldwide in over 40 different countries. Amongst the USA only, counting customers in each one of the 50 states, more than 2.500 art pieces have been shipped.
Each customer is taken care of personally , from the choice of the art piece to its delivery, by the owners of la Bottega: Mario and Claire Cappelletti and their collaborator Takeshi Tamashiro.
In over 20 years of business they have created many collaborations and friendships with people from all over the world.
THE OWNERS / OUR TEAM
Mario Cappelletti is a native of Castellina in Chianti, and his wife Claire, originally from Chicago, has been living in Chianti for more than 30 years. With their family in 1989 they created La Bottega and up to today have been nurturing its development with great passion.
